Boldly titling their album THRASH METAL, Norwegian quartet Blood Tsunami are far from capturing the genre in its heyday, but do a spirited job nonetheless in showcasing what the modern metal realm passes off as thrash. That's not to say that songs like "Rampage of Revenge" isn't thrashy, nor tracks like "Godbeater" doesn't pull off an epic turn at the revered thrash instrumental, but they do it in a sludgier, almost Entombed-esque fashion with little bits of Maiden's arena-shaking chorus power behind it all on cuts like "Infernal Final Carnage". While not a pure concoction, Blood Tsunami's THRASH METAL is a sturdy metal romp regardless, and contains the strength for all warriors to raise their shield and praise about.
