DRIVER SIDE IMPACT
THE VERY AIR WE BREATHE
Ohio sextet Driver Side Impact play the kind of samey, whiney punk rock that borders on the emo front as demonstrated on the 13-track THE VERY AIR WE BREATHE. Decked out with synths ("Made of Gold") and electronic disco drum beats ("The Heist") underneath their heart on their sleeve punk rock, cuts like "Reasons We Sleep" at times would remind of Hawthorne Heights, while the overall production (courtesy of Sal Villanueva) sounds like (surprise) Taking Back Sunday and Thursday. Nothing that overtly stands out here, just your standard modern punk rock band with a slew of emotion to disperse.
