Boston-based hardcore punk troupe Ashers features the singer from The Unseen and follows a similar musical path as well judging by the quartet’s aggressive 13-track, 25-minute excursion KILL YOUR MASTER. Fast and heavy is the name of the game here with some killer vocals to boot (“Blood and Grain”), and songs like “End of the Rope” and “Watch it Burn” don’t disappoint, doling out abrasive shots of scathing street punk with a metallic edge reminiscent of an Americanized version of Gallows (“Now So Clear”). Relentless and wild, the latest by Ashers yields a surefire supply of brutal brevity containing a bevy of pit friendly mayhem inducing tunes bound to keep bodies moving.
