Administering a bruising batch of tough guy hardcore, Belgium’s Bloodshot deliver a punishing yet utterly derivative 12-track endeavor chock full of bone crushing predictability. Channeling the likes of Hatebreed, Sworn Enemy, and Full Blown Chaos, the unmitigated sheer brutality this quintet unleashes rarely takes break here, but it follows the tried and true playbook featuring every cliché from movie dialogue to gang vocal shouts too close to be considered anything more than second-rate. Even though this unit can whip up a ruckus and demonstrates a proper expedient attitude that gets the job done, the lack of creativity and cautious songwriting Bloodshot exhibits leaves a bit too much to warrant this disc multiple spins.
